 October has begun and Fall has arrived! No matter what season, spring, summer, autumn, or winter, our skin needs special attention.  Autumn is the perfect time to renew and restore your skin from summer’s aggressions (such as the sun), and prepare your skin for winter’s harsher weather. During Fall, the atmosphere is dry and cool,  this change can cause skin to feel dry, dehydrated, or rough. This DIY pumpkin mask is the perfect remedy to nourish and brighten your skin.

Why Pumpkin? Besides being seasonally appropriate, pumpkin is great for your skin! Pumpkins are full of enzymes and Alpha Hydroxy Acids, which help increase cell turnover and smooth your skin.  They also contain antioxidants such as vitamin A, and vitamin C, which can help boost collagen to prevent signs of aging.  Pumpkins are also great for acne prone skin because they are high in fatty acids, which are essential to maintaining the barrier function of your skin, and can also help regulate sebum production (great for oily skin!).
